Slice an apple into half, and can turn brown. A copper cent all of a
sudden becomes eco-friendly, or perhaps an iron nail when left outdoors,
will rust. Exactly what do each one of these occasions share? They are
good examples of the process known as oxidation. When the sliced apple
is drizzled with a
fresh lemon juice, however, the speed where the apple turns brown is slowed down. For the reason that the Ascorbic Acid within the
fresh lemon juice slows the speed of oxidative damage.
