Being often hungry during pregnancy is normal, but it is necessary to have certain control over hunger attacks.

About 50% of pregnant women experience hunger attacks associated with unusual foods at unusual times of day or night.
In India it is believed that during pregnancy women tend to eat more pickles and citrus fruits, but hunger attacks actually include a huge variety of foods, and they are accompanied by a strange fondness for non-food items such as ceramic cups or wax crayons.
