Scientists Develop Artificial Retina That Could Restore Normal Vision

Scientists have made a major breakthrough in potentially restoring vision to the blind.

Researchers have uncovered the retina's neural code for brain communication in order to create a better prosthetic retinal device for blindness - potentially changing the lives of millions around the world.

Two scientists from Weill Cornell Medical College have studied the neural code of a mouse's retina and used this information in an innovative prosthetic device which restores sight to the blind
