Over the course of the last two decades, yoga has grown in popularity from a niche exercise program to one of the most common staples of modern healthy living. These days, it's impossible to find a local fitness center or private gym that does not offer classes in yoga at least three times a week. In fact, this form of low-stress exercise has gone so mainstream that a dozen free apps can be found on smartphones for personal yoga programs.
